Årjäng is a growth municipality with almost 10,000 inhabitants, Årjäng has approximately 4000 persons and Töcksfors 2000. We have a strategic location along E18 between Karlstad and Oslo, near the Norwegian border. Both residents and tourists are fascinated by the soothing surroundings. In addition to beautiful nature, there are many attractions and shopping in both Årjäng and Töcksfors.

In addition to job opportunities in municipal operations we have a strong entrepreneurial tradition. The private market stands on three legs; manufacturing, trade/hospitality and services. There is a purchasing power and the service industry also benefits from the municipality's important neighbors in the west and several Norwegian companies have invested in construction, which in turn increases growth for other companies. The industries are expansive and competitive both internationally and nationally. In other words, labour is needed in several different sectors.

Being registered in the population register means that you are registered as resident in Sweden. It is the Swedish Tax Agency that decides whether you meet the conditions for being registered. The State Service Centre is an office you as a private person or entrepreneur can visit for information, guidance and help with your cases/applications from several of the country's authorities. The nearest offices are in Karlstad.
